Starting with a blue buttercream base, gray, black, and blue details were added. The cake board is decorated with black plaid airbrushing.      abccakeshop - 75 This three tier fondant wedding cake was commissioned for a couple who were so anxious to go on their honeymoon that their whole wedding was getaway themed. The buckles and embellishments are painted in silver and every detail from the handles to the bride and groom cake topper are hand-sculpted in fondant.   abccakeshop - 74 This appetizing 3D sushi platter birthday cake is covered in rolled fondant. Each piece of sushi is hand-rolled with fondant and coconut to resemble rice. The finishing details include fondant chopsticks and bowls with hand-painted gold rimming filled with "wasabi" and "soy sauce".   abccakeshop - 73 If this snowboarding halfpipe birthday cake were to be in the Olympics it would definitely take home the gold. We stomped it with the smooth buttercream icing, blue airbrushing, and powdered sugar “snow”. Edible images on the side of the halfpipe include an American flag. abccakeshop - 72 We had the honor of making the cake for Miss New Mexico's welcome home party. This four-tiered cake is iced in white buttercream and is decorated with purple and lavender fondant designs including drapery and a sash. The cake is topped with a tiara. The lovely Nicole Miner placed in the top seven of the Miss America Pageant 2010. Congratulations Nicole and thank you for representing New Mexico! abccakeshop - 71 This two tier Star Wars birthday cake is iced in blue and gray buttercream. It is decorated with hand-sculpted fondant characters from the Lego Star Wars series. The letters to the birthday boy's name are scrambled on the top tier. abccakeshop - 70 This three tier 65th anniversary cake is decorated with edible images of Historic Route 66 hotels. A buttercream road winds up the cake signifying the couple’s sixty-five year journey together. The couple is hand-sculpted in fondant and are standing in front of a blue fondant 65. abccakeshop - 69 This two tier gift box wedding cake was for a winter themed wedding. It is sitting on a buttercream bed of black and white diamonds with a banner draped across it's arms wishing Tabatha a happy birthday. abccakeshop - 66 This 3D train birthday cake is a recreation of train #480 that ran on the historic Durango & Silverton railroad. It is iced entirely in our rich and delicious chocolate fudge.     abccakeshop - 65 This two tier girl’s first birthday cake is iced in buttercream and decorated with silver dragees and white gumpaste butterflies. Lavender ribbon is used for the cake topper and to soften the bottom borders. Small lavender roses line the number one candle on the top tier. abccakeshop - 64  This three tier winter wedding cake is iced in pale blue buttercream. White buttercream snowflakes decorate every tier and a cascade of buttercream “snow” accompanies the skiers down the mountain of cake. The ski couple cake topper is the finishing touch to this winter theme wedding cake.         abccakeshop - 63 Three tiers of white buttercream icing are adorned with a cascade of fresh roses on this lovely wedding cake. Every tier features silk butterflies that are seemingly fluttering towards the breathtaking Sandia Mountains. abccakeshop - 62 This beautiful wedding cake is four tiers of buttercream icing in alternating layers of red and white. The top tier is decorated with a hand-painted gold quilted pattern, the second tier features hand-painted gold scrollwork, the third tier is adorned with edible gold pearls and the bottom tier is covered in white chocolate shavings. The small pearl borders are hand-painted in gold as well. Fresh red roses add the finishing touch. abccakeshop - 61 These fondant covered wedding cupcakes feature an assortment of unique designs.Some cupcakes are iced in hot pink fondant with edible silver pearls on top of black polka dots and some have black monogram Js on top. The cupcakes iced in black fondant feature small white gumpaste callalillies and the cupcakes iced in white fondant are decorated with pink, yellow, and orange sugar daisies. All the cupcakes are red velvet cake. abccakeshop - 60 This four-tiered topsy turvy sweet sixteen birthday cake was created for Catarina and Demi for their double party. Their cake is iced in white buttercream with a variety of rolled fondant decoration including blue diamonds, pink stripes, petal flowers and a bow for the cake topper.     abccakeshop - 59   This 3-D drum set birthday cake is covered in red rolled fondant and decorated with blue buttercream and black outlining. The cymbals were made from gold cake boards. We had a blast creating this unique cake. abccakeshop - 58 The three tiers of this buttercream wedding cake are enhanced by royal blue scrollwork on the middle tier. The other two tiers are decorated with two-toned ribbon and buttercream garlands with pearldrops. Fresh white roses with blue painted tips enrich all tiers and a fondant bow is used as a cake topper. abccakeshop - 57     This three-tiered round wedding cake is iced in white buttercream. It is iced in white buttercream with colorful fondant borders. The top tier is a square cake decorated like a die, the middle tier is round with a blue rolled fondant overlay, and the bottom tier features fondant diamonds, clubs, hearts, and spades. The wedding ornament incorporates two hand-sculpted fondant caricatures and a personalized fabulous Las Vegas sign with the couples’ names and wedding date.   abccakeshop - 54   Sea foam green fondant covers this hand-painted three-tiered wedding cake. White fondant bands dotted with edible gold pearls border each tier. The show-stopping elements of this wedding cake are the hand-painted royal icing flowers, vines, and scrollwork.   abccakeshop - 53 This three-tiered Winnie the Pooh birthday cake features a honey jar as the top tier with honey made from buttercream and piping gel dripping down. Fondant honey bees buzz around the entire cake and fondant flowers decorate the bottom tier. A red fondant banner on the middle tier joyously declares happy birthday in big white letters.     abccakeshop - 52 Halloween is almost over so the staff at ABC Cake Shop wanted to showcase our favorite three-tiered Halloween wedding cake of the season. The theme is The Nightmare Before Christmas and it is covered entirely in rolled fondant. The top tier is colored purple with fondant tombstones and buttercream leafless trees. The middle tier is iced in orange and purple marbelized fondant with fondant portraits of santa. The bottom tier is iced in orange fondant with black buttercream swirls and is surrounded by a fondant snake and pumpkins. The cake topper is also made from rolled fondant.    abccakeshop - 51 This colorful five-tiered topsy-turvy cake was created for a Windows 7 release party. It is iced in white, blue, green, yellow, and red buttercream with fondant overlays that include diamonds, stripes, polka dots and balloons. Edible images on each tier add to the decoration with the colorful logos from Mcafee, Computrace, Hewlett Packard, and Microsoft Windows 7. Our delicious new cake flavors including midnight orange and pink champagne graced this whimsical specialty cake.  This awesome cake was delieved to the Grand Ballroom at Sandia Casino & Resort.     abccakeshop - 50   A beautiful blend of classic and contemporary styles, this lovely three-tiered fondant wedding cake boasts elegantly rounded edges and pure white sugar roses. European-inspired scrollwork dotted with silver edible pearls are chic yet whisper of tradition. The final contemporary touch is the rhinestone monogram cake topper.     abccakeshop - 49 These colorful birthday cupcakes were presented on our six-tiered cupcake stand. They get their flair from bright pink, orange, and yellow. Each cupcake is iced to match their cake flavors. Strawberry cupcakes are iced in hot pink buttercream with yellow and orange rosebuds, Orange flavored cupcakes are iced in bright orange buttercream with pink and yellow rosebuds, and our delicious lemon cupcakes are iced in yellow buttercream with pink and orange rosebuds. Every cupcake is hand dipped in pink, yellow, and orange sprinkles. The cupcake topper is a 6" round cake. It is covered in white fondant with pink, yellow, and orange fondant petal flowers cascading from the top. abccakeshop - 48   This three-tiered wedding cake boasts a chocolate and white color scheme.Swiss dots in buttercream icing decorate every tier and traditional shell borders are replaced by chocolate colored ribbon. Chocolate colored sugar roses adorn each balcony. Seven-inch Grecian pillars separate the three cakes. abccakeshop - 47   This three-tiered wedding cake is iced in ivory buttercream. Chocolate ganache alluringly drips down each tier. Fresh roses gently cascade down from the top tier and soft pink petals are scattered along the cake board and table. A fountain sits underneath the cake adding serenity to the décor. abccakeshop - 46   Covered in black rolled fondant, this two-tiered birthday cake is accompanied by cupcakes iced in brightly colored buttercream.  The cake is surrounded by pink butterflies and is topped with gumpaste lilies. The cupcakes are topped with black fondant discs with the number 22 in pink.   abccakeshop - 45   This beautiful four-tiered hand-painted wedding cake is covered in smooth rolled fondant. Each tier was carefully hand-painted with lavender and pink flowers while simple buttercream pearls grace the borders. The floral cake topper features gumpaste orchids.   abccakeshop - 44     This two-tiered cowgirl themed birthday cake features a 3D cowgirl hat in light pink rolled fondant with a white fondant bow. The bottom tier is iced in white buttercream and is decorated with pink and lavender sugar flowers. The border is embellished by green buttercream grass. No cowgirl cake would be complete without a lasso so we put a gray fondant rope to the side of the cowgirl hat and wrapped the tail around the base of the bottom tier. abccakeshop - 43   This two-tiered wedding cake is surrounded by 125 mini wedding cakes. The bride wanted every guest to have their own tiered cake. The size of each mini cake is a 2" round on top of a 4" square. The decoration includes red sugar roses and fondant petal flowers gently climbing chocolate vines. The border of each mini cake is done in small ivory butter cream pearls while the wedding cake’s bottom borders are chic and stylish with red ribbon.    abccakeshop - 42   This 3-D rock climbing birthday cake is iced in gray fondant. Colorful fondant pegs are scattered around the cake to aid the hand-sculpted fondant climber. The border of the cake is decorated with a gray fondant rope and blue fondant letters spell the birthday boy’s name across the top.     abccakeshop - 41   This two-tiered cake was commissioned for a Hawaiian themed 18th birthday party. The white butter cream lace on each tier is broken up by a majestic blue waterfall. Gumpaste shells and tropical flowers in bright colors add a realistic touch while the plastic hula dancers and palm trees add an element of fun. This birthday cake would not be complete without the pink and purple “18” topper.   abccakeshop - 40   This four-tiered wedding cake features an assortment of hot pink and black designs. The top tier is decorated with black butter cream vines and fondant leaves on top of hot pink butter cream. The middle tier is iced in white butter cream and adorned with flirtatious polka dots. Black spirals embellish the third tier and pink and black damask patterns beautify the last tier.   abccakeshop - 39   This three-tiered birthday cake was created with a Hollywood theme. Iced in butter cream, this cake gets it’s flair from hand-sculpted fondant decoration. The fondant red carpet makes its way up the cake and stops at the Academy Award for Best Son. Other details include a fondant film reel, golden stars, golden movie tickets, and a clapper board.   abccakeshop - 38   This wedding cake is four tiers of enticing chocolate buttercream icing decorated with dark chocolate European inspired scrollwork. The top and third tier feature ribbon borders with lavish bows.   abccakeshop - 37   The chocolate and pink color scheme is continued with this four-tiered topsy-turvy wedding cake. It is covered in fondant and embellished with stripes and dots on the top tier, polka-dots on the second tier, spirals on the third tier, and diamonds on the bottom tier. Gumpaste flowers enhance the balconies. The cake topper is a lavish fondant bow.   abccakeshop - 36   The trendy color scheme of chocolate and pink is taken to a new level with this three-tiered fondant birthday cake. Shades of mauve star on each tier in an array of fondant patterns. We’re talking about stripes, polka dots and diamonds. And of course, what birthday cake would be complete without an edible cake topper? A moist chocolate cupcake is iced in smooth chocolate fudge, rolled in pink sprinkles, and placed at the highest point of the cake.   abccakeshop - 34 The famous house from Disney’s movie Up has now become a child’s birthday cake! This multi-layered house is iced in different colored buttercream with rolled fondant shingles and front door. The shingles were made by cutting small circles of fondant and placing them individually on the roof. We hope the two birthday boys had as much fun eating this cake as we did creating it. abccakeshop - 32   We created this topsy-turvy cake for a special 85th birthday. It is three tiers of bright color. The top tier is iced in pink fondant with white stripes and orange polka dots. The middle tier features bright green fondant with green stripes and small white polka dots. The bottom tier flaunts orange and white diamonds. This whole birthday cake is given extra oomph by sky blue and bright yellow sugar daisies and a few beautiful gumpaste tiger lilies. abccakeshop - 31   This three-tiered square-shaped wedding cake is stylishly decorated to look like Tiffany gift boxes. It is iced in Tiffany blue buttercream with white fondant ribbons. A fondant bow sits on the top tier along with the bride, Alicia’s, incredible wedding ring cake ornament.   abccakeshop - 30   Lacy centered flowers similar to the hybrid Hibiscus, Lavender Chiffon, are hand-sculpted out of fondant and placed on all three tiers of this magnificent round wedding cake. Megan, the lovely bride, wanted green buttercream vines attaching strings of flowers on top of a smooth buttercream icing. She chose to have the borders adorned by large buttercream pearls.             abccakeshop - 29     Rich and smooth buttercream icing graces every tier of this fanciful Quinceanera cake. White gumpaste Gardenias are hand-painted in turquoise. Trios of buttercream ruffles in this Southwestern color scheme enhance each cake and are accompanied by light and fluffy shell borders. The elegant fountain exudes calm while blue water cascades down. We wish the Quinceanera girl much happiness on her birthday! abccakeshop - 28   Four tiers of alternating black and white fondant cover this Alice In Wonderland themed custom cake. Every tier is done in the Mad Hatter topsy-turvy style with different fondant patterns. The topper features the King and Queen of hearts with other characters from the story.  Tiers of peanut butter cake filled with fudge were a tasty addition to the tiers of delicious chocolate cake with mint chocolate chip filling.   abccakeshop - 27   We created this cake in collaboration with the birthday boy’s family. They wanted something that screamed “Matthew” and this Converse shoe was born. This 2-D birthday cake was iced in buttercream.  Every detail from the Converse logo to the white stitching was hand-drawn with care.   abccakeshop - 26   I know what you’re thinking but it’s not just another handbag cake. It is our first Chanel! White fondant is pressed into Coco Chanel’s infamous quilted pattern with black fondant braided seams. This tropical flower overflows from the top of each cake and enticingly cascades down the top and third tier. It is iced in silky, pure white buttercream with simple pearled borders.   abccakeshop - 24   This topsy-turvy fondant creation features an array of whimsical fondant embellishments. The top tier mimics a snow capped mountain and is dotted with edible pearls, the middle tier features pink fondant stripes with fondant petal flowers, and the bottom tier is adorned with fondant diamonds and edible pearls. Pink and white hand-rolled fondant roses grace each balcony.   abccakeshop - 23   Three square-shaped tiers are iced in smooth ivory buttercream with ivory pearl borders. Amber colored roses in full bloom sensuously separate each tier. Two words describe this wedding cake; simple elegance. This gorgeous wedding cake was delivered to La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe. We placed it in the striking La Terraza room. abccakeshop - 22   Pink, green, yellow, blue, and white all make their way onto this precious two-tiered baby shower cake. A hand-drawn clothesline on the bottom tier is holding adorable baby clothes while a buttercream spiral dotted with sugar roses in varying colors beautifies the border. The top tier is enhanced by white buttercream polka dots and a baby carriage. A pink fondant bow around the border adds a feminine touch. abccakeshop - 21   Elvis’ pink Cadillac has come to ABC Cake Shop! A three-layered quarter sheet cake was iced in pink buttercream and every detail from the windows to the tires were hand-drawn. An edible pearl spray was used to make this birthday cake shine like a new car. The King would have been proud.   abccakeshop - 20   The romantic essence of France is captured in this Paris themed wedding cake.  All three cakes are covered in rolled fondant icing. The biggest cake is black enveloped in sparkling rhinestones; the middle cake is pink surrounded by white fondant polka dots, and the last cake is pink covered in black lace. Ribbon borders with bows are in alternating colors with a beautiful Eiffel Tower ornament set upon the smallest cake. abccakeshop - 19   All three tiers of this unique wedding cake are covered in hot pink butter cream icing. Stargazers cascade down all the tiers entwined with dramatic chartreuse swirls and pearl borders. abccakeshop - 18   This spunky two-tiered birthday cake is separated by frolicking carousel horses. It is iced in ivory buttercream . Bright-colored curled ribbons, sugar roses, and painted spirals add a feeling of fun.   abccakeshop - 17   This three-tiered sports themed cake is perfect for many occasions. We love it as a birthday cake or a groom’s cake. It is iced entirely in our delicious old-fashioned buttercream.  Every tier is hand-sculpted to ensure perfection. abccakeshop - 16   Graduation season is upon us so we celebrate with this three-tiered graduation cake. It is covered in rolled fondant and an edible pearl spray. The red, gray, and black are University of New Mexico colors. The sizes shown are a half sheet, quarter sheet, and a 6” round cake. It will feed 65-80 people. abccakeshop - 15   This magnificent two-tiered Tinkerbell cake is iced in jewel toned fondant with scrollwork in different colors around each tier. Individual blades of grass, hand-sculpted out of fondant, act as borders for the top tier while yellow fondant stars randomly placed, make an appearance on the bottom tier. Our delicious sugar cookies are the pink flower petals around the bottom tier. This specialty cake is sprayed with an edible pearl spray to make every detail sparkle.   abccakeshop - 14 This three-tiered custom wedding cake incorporates two fantasy wedding themes in one: an “under the sea” theme and a princess theme. Named for one of our dedicated employees, Deserea is far from being old-fashioned. The contemporary color scheme and intriguing fondant patterns make it an eye-catching cake that people will talk endlessly about. abccakeshop - 6   This adorable cake was made for a sweet 16 birthday. The family of the birthday girl wanted something special to celebrate her love of this small dog.  It is iced in our delicious old-fashioned buttercream with lavender ribbons to add a playful touch. abccakeshop - 5 A family came to us with a vision for a cake that would capture the beloved birthday boy’s hobby. What resulted was this realistic grill cake.
